Bioenvironmental Laboratory

For the bioremediation research (sulphate reduction and cyanide/thiocyanate destruction), a large 8 m3 fume hood with extraction is available, together with several conventional (stirred tank) and novel packed-bed and linear flow channel reactors.  Additionally, a dedicated facility (walk-in fume hood) for cyanide work is available in the New Engineering Building. CeBER also has access to the Wastewater Laboratory in Civil Engineering for experiments likely to jeopardise the other experiments in the CeBER laboratories.
