Mr Emmanuel I-Muaka Ngoma
Emmanuel Ngoma holds an undergraduate degree in Bioprocess Engineering (B.Tech Biotechnology) from the Tshwane University of Technology and a Master degree in Chemical Engineering (M.Tech Chemical Engineering) from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. His research interests lie in mineral bioprocess engineering and Acid mine drainage (AMD), in which he has been involved since 2004 when he joined the Centre for Bioprocess Engineering Research (CeBER) as a laboratory assistant. His work mainly focusses on mineral bioleaching processes and technical support to post-graduate students and research officers. He manages the Mineral Bioprocessing laboratory and covers the role of liaison between the technical workshop of the department, the university Properties and Maintenance department and CeBER. In this position, Emmanuel Ngoma has helped the research centre to engage positively with the key holders of the various workshops.
